Service description
#

The ConnOSS metadata schema corresponds to a semantic controlled vocabulary for describing research software in a structured, machine-actionable, and interoperable way. It reuses and extends established vocabularies — including schema.org and CodeMeta — to capture the properties that matter most for discovering, reusing, and citing research software across scientific domains and communities.

The ConnOSS profile provides information on the obligation levels — mandadory/minimum/must, recommended/should, optional/could — and cardinality — one, many. It follows the approach defined but the Bioschemas community
